Auto-Renewal of Electricity Contracts for Households

Senoko Energy will inform you at least 60 days in advance before your home electricity contract ends. If you do not actively renew your contract before it expires, we will automatically renew your contract 10 business days before your contract end date.

Although it’s less hassle to let your electricity plan roll over for another year, you could miss out on savings if do not renew early and enjoy our prevailing promotions.

The fixed rates displayed are inclusive of prevailing GST. They are subject to upcoming GST changes announced by IRAS according to invoiced dates.

Why is there an auto-renewal clause in my energy contract?

All standard price plans have an auto-renewal clause in their fact sheets for price protection purposes. This allows you to continue enjoying cost savings below the regulated tariff by SP Group. Under the code of conduct for retail electricity set by EMA, all retailers are required to auto-renew your contract based on the same plan type and contract tenure. In addition, your auto-renewal rate will be below the regulated tariff.

Can I still cancel my plan after auto-renewal?

Yes, you can cancel your renewed contract without any penalty within 30 calendar days of auto-renewal.

Why is my auto-renewal rate higher than the prevailing market rate?

We proactively encourage our customers to renew as early as 4 months before contract expiry date. Renewal reminders will be sent to our customers 60 days, 30 days, and 10 business days prior to contract expiry.

Early renewal allows our customers to enjoy cost savings with our prevailing market rate and promotions because this allows us to better manage our energy generation costs more efficiently.
